About

Tieran is a Columbus, Ohio based rapper, songwriter, and producer delivering his rawness through an emotionally laden flow. His music is introspective and conscious, fueled by his desire to be transparent with all aspects of his life. He began performing at the age of eight with the hardcore punk band H2O, opening for the likes of Eminem and Blink 182, but it wasn’t until his early adulthood that he explored his lyrical skills. His exposure to punk and hip hop music in his early childhood guided his love for music and grew through his love for skateboarding — a hobby that led to rage after he was jumped at a skate park at 16 years old. As he attempted to navigate his emotions after the violent attack, he began to write rap songs to channel his anger and depression. During college, he began to hone in on his lyricism, as well as production and mixing and mastering his records. While he has worked through the very trauma that made him gravitate towards music, his sound is still deeply rooted in his emotional being.

Tieran’s sound draws from his witty, playful, and dorky persona, providing enjoyment while remaining thought-provoking and encouraging others to reflect on their life experiences as well. In 2017, he released his EP “Never Had A Choice” and followed up a year later with the release of his first album “Deep End”, taking his listeners through his diary as he confronts his mental health. His biggest musical influences are Nas, Gang Starr, Master P, Wu-Tang Clan, and H2O, which he attributes to the time spent with his family. His most notable shows have been alongside Joyner Lucas, KYLE, Token, Hopsin, and Pouya. In addition to working with these admirable artists, he has performed at Columbus’ annual Comfest festival. Tieran has been featured on various media platforms including the Earmilk, 2DopeBoyz, Columbus Dispatch, Columbus Alive, and was recognized as a “Columbus’ Street Heat Artist” by Power 107.5/106.3 (WCKX).

He released his sophomore album “Where’s She At?” in late October. The album explores Tieran’s failed romantic relationships and shines a light on the cyclicality of relationship experiences from new relationships to breakups. He tells a story of the relationships through a multitude of lenses — honeymoon phase, miscommunication, obsession, and denial. This project continues along Tieran’s intentional path for others, as well as himself, to engage with the difficult parts of life and work through them and in his case, that means telling the world.
